L. David Cherington
David is a Co-founder and Managing Director of the Advanced Nuclear Weapons Alliance (ANWA) Deterrence Center. ANWA Deterrence Center raises awareness and educates about the modernization of the U.S. strategic nuclear deterrent. ANWA Deterrence Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. David is also a Co-founder and Executive Director of the Additive Manufacturing Coalition, which educates and advocates on issues important to the additive manufacturing community.
The Additive Manufacturing Coalition is a 501(c)(6) trade association, designation pending. With over 25 years of experience working on and off Capitol Hill, David has worked on science and technology policy issues with a focus on national and homeland security, energy, and the environment. David has worked for a Congressman on the Appropriations Committee, on the Professional Staff of the Senate Armed Services Committee, and for an Ivy League University. On behalf of science and technology giant Battelle, David focused on federal funding and policy regarding scientific and technological discovery and application, especially as it related to national and homeland security.
